What is a vacation without an adventure? Located just opposite Bournemouth Airport and close to the holiday cottages, Adventure Wonderland is the most popular family adventure park in Dorset. Enjoy a fun-filled day with the whole family at this indoor and outdoor park. The park has more than 30 different rides including the Turbo Teacups and the Animal Cuddle Corner. Adventure Wonderland is open daily from the 20th of March to the 12th of September and only during the weekends till the 17th of October. The “Wild Thing” is open daily except on the 25th and 26th of December and on the 1st of January. Dinosaur Museum
Another great place to visit while you are staying at one of the Dorset holiday cottages is the Dinosaur Museum. This is an award winning museum and is a great attraction for families traveling with children. Getting to the Dinosaur Museum is not difficult if you are staying at one of the holiday cottages, you can always ask for directions if you are not familiar with the place. The museum opens daily at 9:30 a.m. and closes at 5:30 p.m., and is located right in the heart of Dorchester. Some of the things you will see at the museum are dinosaur skeletons, fossils and even the “Jurassic Dinosaurs”. The life-sized dinosaur reconstructions together with the multimedia displays are great for the children.
